Di Caprio is so fantastic in this movie. He´ll most likely receive another Oscar nom, though Phoenix and De Niro are just extraordinary too and a hint above Leo. The mural of Rick Dalton in his driveway looks strangely like Jack Nicholson, who starred in Polanski's Chinatown a few years later. Di Caprio looks somewhere between hangover and drunk. Serious drinking habits I guess. The way his eyes well up at the end. Gets me every time. Leo is oozing that “waiting for my mum to stop talking to her friend in the supermarket” energy😂. Good to see Luke Perry R.I.P. Ha& 39;you zmanim hollywood. Another spin on actual events,QT's version of alternative endings less tragic than actual happenings as in IB's,as in what really should've other excellent tarentino flick. The best part was when the little girl told rick that that was the best acting shes ever seen and he started crying! leo is such an amazing actor damn. Best film of 2019. There's no argument. None. Rick, it's a flamethrower. I have never left a review before now. I don't identify as a Tarantino fan, although I have enjoyed some of his films. I have been looking forward to this film and I was not disappointed!
I was 14 years old in 1969 and I remember the events of August 1969 like it was yesterday. For me, this film took me back to re-experience the music, the actors, the movies and the tv shows of 1969.
Great performances from Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt! Some reviewers have said that they saw little depth to the characters but I disagree; we were different back then and you can't view these characters through modern eyes. You need to have a sense of how we have changed as a society over the past 50 years.
There are so many wonderful cameos in this film. As I looked over the cast, I realized that I need to watch this film again to catch some that I missed.
Because I am fairly well read on the Manson Family, I found myself holding my breath at points in anticipation of disaster, awaiting tragedy.
At 2 hours 39 minutes this is a long film but the time flew for me as I was awash in memories of that time. Give this film a try.

Cliff Booth is every man's fantasy of what they'll be in their 50s.

 

When this film began I wasn't sure how I felt about it but as it progressed I then began to feel man this is bloody brilliant.
